Day One Of Ideas Of India Concludes With Insightful Discussions
The fourth edition of ABP Network's Ideas of India summit kicked off in Mumbai with a diverse lineup of speakers sharing insights on various topics such as Bollywood, music, AI, science, space, and personal stories of inspiration. The event commenced with a Saraswati Vandana performance by singer and composer Sanjeevani Bhelande, followed by a welcome address from Atideb Sarkar, Chief Editor of ABP Network.
During the event, Dr Goutam Chattopadhyay, Senior Scientist at NASA-JPL, talked about life beyond Earth and also spoke about speculations around astronaut Sunita Williams’ delayed return from the International Space Station.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant also touched on key issues concerning the state, including tourism and redevelopment. In the other end, Mayank Agrawal, CEO of Gallant Group of Industries, stressed that India must effectively harness technology and consider environmental factors while planning new construction.
Speaking on Bollywood and reflecting on his life, veteran actor and filmmaker Amol Palekar discussed how cinematic excellence should not be solely determined by box office earnings. Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu also shared bold insights on "Telling Powerful Stories" and shared her thoughts on the debate between theatrical and OTT releases.
Bhumi Pednekar, while sharing her insights about her journey in the film industry, recalled the time when her male co-star got 80 per cent more than her pay despite giving the same number of hits and the same amount of success.
The Summit with Chef Ranveer Brar shares his profound love for food and its deeper purpose. And, finally the session concluded with an engaging session on Donald Trump's presidency and its implications for the global order.

Shashi Tharoor and Former US Ambassador, Kurt Volker, decode the decision-making approach of US President Donald Trump, analysing the methods and impact of his leadership style. Kurt Volker said, "Donald Trump's unpredictability is deliberate tactics. He wants to create uncertainty in order to get people to react to him. He wants to highlight that a one-state and two-state solution is not going to happen. And, no one is coming up with other ideas."
He added, "The guiding principle of Trump is that the US has been doing too much in the world but in return, the US is treated fairly. That's why in tariff he wants to ensure a level playing field."
