Murthy highlighted that national development can be defined by three parameters with the first one being good, innovative, efficient and honest public governance, the second one, Human Development Index and third being per capita work productivity, innovation and problem-solving resulting in improved per capita gross national product. "This congregation is about digitalisation enhancing all these three parameters because without digitalisation, there cannot be a better India," Murthy said.

ABP Network is hosting its first 'Ideas of India' Summit, which will take place in Mumbai on March 25-26. The best minds from various fields will talk about India's 75-year journey and the future it holds.

"HDI or Human Development Index is about how will the citizens of a country or impacted by the various public and private good facilities in a country like education, health care, nutrition, shelter, justice, utilities, quality of governance and quality of life and other facilities. In some way, high per capita GNP with a low Gini coefficient measures how well a citizen is empowered economically to lead a good quality of life for self and family, save any money for a better return or a better retired life and to move towards a higher level of HDI for himself or herself, as well as for his or her progenies," Murthy noted.
