India recorded a recovery rate of 76.74%. Till now 26 lakh people have recuperated from Covid-19. India’s case fatality rate has fallen to 1.81 percent. Case fatality rate is the proportion of deaths caused by a certain disease compared to the total number of people diagnosed with the disease during a particular period. The total number of samples tested in India up to August 29 is 4,14,61,636 including 10,55,027 samples tested on Saturday, says Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)

Unlock 4 guidelines: Metro rail allowed to operate with conditions, schools to remain shut Government of India on Saturday announced guidelines for ‘Unlock 4’, which will come into effect from September 1. As per the new guidelines, Metro rail will be allowed to operate with effect from September 7 in a graded manner, while schools, colleges, and other educational institutes will remain shut for students up to September 30.
