Notably, the game has achieved a remarkable feat, solidifying its position as the fastest-selling title under PlayStation Studios within the initial 24 hours of its release.

According to a statement from Sony, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 managed to sell more than 2.5 million copies within just one day of its release. It's important to note that this astounding sales figure exclusively pertains to the PS5 system since the game remains a PlayStation 5 exclusive and is not available on other platforms.

In achieving this milestone, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, the third instalment in the beloved franchise developed by Insomniac Games, has surpassed the previous record held by God of War Ragnarok, which reached 5.1 million copies sold within its first week after launch.

Serving as a direct sequel to the 2018 title "Marvel's Spider-Man" and the 2020 follow-up "Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales," this latest instalment advances the narratives of both Peter and Miles. Notably, it introduces a formidable lineup of adversaries, including Venom, Lizard, Kraven the Hunter, and Sandman.

Eric Lempel, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing, Sales, and Business Operations at Sony Interactive Entertainment, commended Insomniac Games for their commitment to delivering immersive and innovative gaming experiences. He emphasised that Marvel's Spider-Man 2, as the third instalment in the franchise exclusively designed for PlayStation 5, was meticulously crafted to leverage the unique capabilities of the platform, building upon the action, storylines, and features of its predecessors.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is available in India at a retail price of Rs 4,999 for the Standard edition and Rs 5,599 for the Digital Deluxe edition.
