PS Plus Free Games: Key Titles To Look Out For

Sonic Frontiers (PS4, PS5)

One of the standout titles in this batch, Sonic Frontiers, brings the iconic blue hedgehog into the realm of "open-zone" gameplay. Set on the vast and visually stunning Starfall Islands, the game combines high-speed platforming with exploration, offering fans of the franchise a fresh new experience. The game was well-received by fans and critics alike, selling over 3.5 million copies worldwide by May 2023, cementing its place as one of the most successful Sonic releases in recent years.

Forspoken (PS5)

Released in early 2023, Forspoken is a visually striking PlayStation 5 exclusive that immerses players in a magical open-world environment. While the game received mixed reviews for its inconsistent narrative and technical issues, it still garnered attention for its expansive world-building and fluid combat mechanics. Despite the criticisms, it debuted as the third-best-selling retail game in Japan during its launch week, proving its appeal to a wide audience.

WRC Generations (PS4, PS5)

For racing enthusiasts, WRC Generations offers a true-to-life rally racing experience. Developed by Kylotonn, this game serves as the studio's final installment in the World Rally Championship series, representing the official game for the 2022 WRC season. The title includes all the legendary rallies and iconic cars from the series, providing players with an authentic motorsport experience. It’s a fitting farewell to the WRC franchise from Kylotonn, bringing the thrill of rally racing to the PlayStation platform.
