Krafton To Bring 20 New Games, Plans To Launch 'Dark & Darker' And 'inZoi' This Year

Krafton will launch 'Dark and Darker Mobile' and 'inZoi' in 2024. The plans to further enhance BGMI and PUBG are also underway.

Battlegrounds Mobile India or BGMI publisher Krafton is in the process of overhauling its growth plans. The South Korean video game publisher is looking to expand its product lineup with the launch of 20 new games including 'Dark and Darker Mobile', and 'inZoi' which will be launched in 2024. In a company-wide town hall meeting, Krafton Live Talk, the publisher also revealed plans to secure the top spot and organise more esports activities.

Earlier in 2023, Krafton launched the 'Scale-up the Creative' strategy and CEO CH Kim during this town hall meeting said that 2024 will be the year when the strategy bears fruits. The strategy aimed at discovering diverse creatives and growing into a global publisher. In simpler words, it means discovering new excitement in games and effectively expanding into the global market.

With this thought in mind, Krafton is working to release 'Dinkum Mobile', 'Project Black Budget', and a game in the 'Subnautica series' as well. However, the release date for the same was not conveyed in the meeting. It looks like Krafton is playing a longer game and eyeing to make an irreplaceable name for itself in the gaming and esports industry.

Mid To Long-Term Plans

While revealing the mid to long-term plans, CEO Kim emphasised the continuous investment for the global expansion of PUBG: Battlegrounds IP and the Indian market. Krafton aims to franchise the PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS IP, constructing its platform ecosystem in order to establish a distinctive competitive edge. The 'game changer', Deep learning technology is being incorporated into the development processes of games in a bid to reshape the gaming industry.

The South Korean publisher also aims to increase development activities through internal and external studios, as well as outsourcing.

Additionally, Kim reaffirmed investment and growth prospects in the Indian market and the expansion of publishing and esports activities in India.
