GTA 6 Pre-Orders Started? Malaysian Retailer Said To Accept Deposits For Grand Theft Auto VI
While official pricing has not been disclosed, reports indicate that GTA 6 may cost more than $100, exceeding the usual price range for AAA titles.

GTA 6 Leaks: The long-awaited Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) finally has an official release window. Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, has confirmed that the game is set to launch in fall 2025. Based on industry expectations, this places the release between September and November next year. Analysts predict that Rockstar may opt for a late October or November debut to avoid clashing with other major game launches, including Borderlands 4, which is scheduled for September 23, 2025.
Retailer Opens Pre-Orders Despite No Official Announcement
Although Rockstar Games has yet to announce official pre-order details, a Malaysian retailer, Gamers Hideout, has already begun accepting deposits for GTA 6. Customers can place a pre-order by paying an amount of RM14.90 (approximately Rs 290), as per multiple media reports.
However, when ABP Live scoured through the Gamers Hideout website, such a listing was not found. So, either the listing was taken down, or the reports could have been fake.
GTA 6 Pricing Speculation and Special Editions
While official pricing has not been disclosed, reports indicate that GTA 6 may cost more than $100, exceeding the usual price range for AAA titles. Gaming analyst Matthew Ball attributes this to the game's massive development scope and increased production costs. However, as is the case with all other GTA 6 leaks, this exorbitant amount seems highly unlikely and doesn't make sense for Indian retailers.
In India, the base edition is expected to be priced around Rs 4,999/Rs 5,999 - the standard for AAA games on consoles, with special and premium editions potentially costing Rs 7,299 or higher. However, these estimates remain speculative, and official pricing details are still awaited.
What We Know About GTA 6 So Far
The first official trailer confirmed that GTA 6 will be set in Vice City within the fictional state of Leonida, a reimagined version of Florida. Leaked gameplay footage suggests a dual-protagonist system featuring characters Jason and Lucia, along with an expansive open world.
Fans are eagerly anticipating further details, with speculation mounting that Rockstar could drop a second trailer as early as April 1, offering new insights into the game’s features and mechanics.
