Claim: The video shows a police officer kicking a Muslim man and instructing him to wake up while he was performing Namaz on a highway. Fact: The viral video is scripted and does not depict a real incident. It was uploaded by Raj Thakur, a video creator, on his Facebook handle on 11 March 2025. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.

Scripted Video

A reverse image search of the keyframes from the viral video led us to a Facebook post by Raj Thakur dated 11 March 2025. The post featured the same video (archived) and stated that it is entirely scripted and does not depict a real incident.

We found Raj Thakur’s Instagram handle (@official_rajthakur__), where he describes himself as a video creator from Delhi in his bio.

Upon reviewing Raj Thakur’s social media handles, we found multiple scripted videos featuring the police officer (here, here, here, and here).

Factly previously debunked similar viral videos by Raj Thakur, created for entertainment and educational purposes, misrepresented as real incidents.

To sum up, a scripted video of a police officer kicking a Muslim man while offering Namaz on a highway is falsely shared as a real incident.
