Veteran actress Zeenat Aman has shared a deeply emotional note after flying with Air India, just days after the tragic crash in Ahmedabad that claimed numerous lives. The aviation tragedy has left a wave of shock across the country, and Zeenat's recent flight brought a moment of reflection for the iconic actress.

Zeenat Aman shares note after Air India plane crash

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Zeenat Aman posted a photo from her seat aboard an Air India flight on Saturday. Alongside the image, she included a heartfelt message that echoed the sorrow many are feeling following the crash.

"Boarded an Air India flight this morning and found myself absolutely overwhelmed with emotion as I buckled my seatbelt. May our collective grief offer some solace to those who lost their loved ones," wrote the actress.

Air India Dreamliner crashes shortly after take-off

The crash occurred last Thursday when an Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner tragically went down shortly after take-off from Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. The aircraft crashed into a residential area near B.J. Medical College, leading to multiple casualties.

According to reports, the pilot issued a ‘May Day’ alert soon after take-off. However, communication was lost when Air Traffic Control attempted to reach the aircraft. On board were 242 individuals, including both crew members and passengers.

In the wake of the crash, the film industry came together to express solidarity and support. Celebrities like Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and others took to social media to offer condolences to the families affected by the tragedy.

Meanwhile, the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is coordinating with Indian authorities and will be assisting the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau in determining the cause of the incident.
