OTT Round up - His Storyy Is Amongst The Best Web Series On Indian OTT, Ramyug Set To Find Family Audiences This Week
Another show that is finding audiences amongst the elite is Out of Love, which is now streaming its second season at Disney+Hotstar. The first season had done well with the mature audiences and for those want to have a dekko at the second season, they need to have an all around context.

His Storyy has turned out to be a pleasant surprise of the season. Though the makers didn't shout from the rooftops around the arrival of the web series, its solid word of mouth that is ensuring that this triangular love story with a twist (this time around the husband is having an affair with another man) works on a emotional level. Solid in in its treatment with very relatable moments and heart touching dialogues with soulful music, this Ekta Kapoor backed and Suparn Verma written human drama is currently playing on ZEE5 and ALT Balaji.
The performances too are top notch in His Storyy, what with Satyadeep Misra leading the show with a sensitive act and Priyamani doing well as a woman in her early 40s who is trying to make sense out of all the chaos around her. Mrinal Dutt is fast emerging as a reliable actor and it is good to see him get to play a solid role. Good production values further make the show look rich and the treatment is such that it would definitely resonate with the elite. Go for it.
Another show that is finding audiences amongst the elite is Out of Love, which is now streaming its second season at Disney+Hotstar. The first season had done well with the mature audiences and for those want to have a dekko at the second season, they need to have an all around context. As expected, both Purab Kohli and Rasika Dugal come up with solid performances all over again, and the manner in which this emotional story is told with the right kind of 'thehrav' in there, it is indeed impressive. All in all, a good week for class audiences.
Coming soon
It's going to be an entertaining week ahead for those who are looking for different kind of content on OTT, what with multiple web series set to arrive in quick success.
Kunal Kohli directed Ramyug is the biggest of them all as it tells the tale of Ramayana, this time with rich virtual appeal accentuated by heavy VFX. Moreover, the cast is interesting too, what with Diganth Manchale (who has done films in South as a leading man) and Kabir Duhan Singh (who has played a baddie in South films) set to be seen as Lord Rama and Raavan. Akkshay Dogra plays Lakshman, Aishwarya Ojha plays Seeta and Vivan Bhatena gets into the part of Hanumana for this well mounted web series that would stream on MX Player this week.
Then there is Hai Tauba which is an ALT Balaji offering and has four stories coming together. By the look of things, the web series with largely new faces is catering to adult audiences and those who have been the followers of Dev DD could well be giving this one a dekko as well.
What is also catching attention is the Quix series which are being established by Disney+Hotstar. This an experiment of sorts as each of the episodes would be lasting just 10 minutes (yes, you read it right, just 10 minutes), hence catering to that set of audiences who want to have a quick break in between meetings or household chores and then move back to what they were doing. The common theme between five such series would be released this week is the feel good factor that each of these would be carry, hence allowing some stress free times.
These are Murder Meri Jaan, Teen Do Paanch, Hamara Bar Happy Hour, Bamini and Boys and Mukesh Jasoos.
Murder Meri Jaan has Tanuj Virwani playing a cop (after enacting the part of an out and out villain in The Tattoo Murders). He would be seen in a light hearted avtar and would have company of Barkha Singh who was recently seen in Manoj Bajpayee starrer Silce... Can You Hear it. Teen Do Paanch is another fun outing with Shreyas Talpade and Bidita Beg coming together.
Hamara Bar Happy Hour has a bunch of youngsters making sure that they bring on some lighthearted banter on screen. Bamini and Boys has Vidya Malwade leading the scene where she is a landlady and there are a bunch of boys desiring her. On the other hand Mukesh Jasoos, as the name suggests, is about a 'jasoos' who is pretty good at his job.
