OTT Release This Week: Alaap And Shruti Are Back With Rudrabinar Obhishaap Part 2
Though Rudrabinar Obhishaap has been made in the genre of suspense thriller, the heart and soul of the web series is Hindustani Classical music.
Rudrabinar Obhishaap is finally back with a new season on Hoichoi, and this time it promises to have more adventure, thrills, emotions — and, of course, music. Alaap and Shruti will continue their journey in this musical thriller, which starred with Taansener Tanpura in 2020. Adding a twist to their love story will be Alaap and Naad’s rivalry.
The trailer that was dropped recently shows Rudrabinar Obhishaap - Part 2 is returning with the star cast of Vikram Chatterjee (Alaap), Rupsa Chatterjee (Shruti), Saurav Das (Naad) and Ditipriya Roy. The much awaited second season premiers on July 1. Taansener Tanpura also had two seasons.
Though the web series has been made in the genre of suspense thriller, complete with romance, rivalries, affairs, conspiracies and murders, the highlight of the show is its music. The heart and soul of the series, both Taansener Tanpura and Rudrabinar Obhishaap is Hindustani Classical music, as the plot revolves around the family of a reverred musician and his disciples.
Directed by Joydeep Mukherjee, the series features Vikram Chatterjee, Rupsa Chatterjee, Saurav Das and Ditipriya Roy in lead roles.
Rudrabinar Obhishaap is the story of a looming threat to the lives of the musicians of Anandgarh, and their enmity with Rudrapur that is rooted in the past. The first season had songs sung by Shovan Ganguly, Jimut Roy, Ujjaini Mukherjee, Deborshee Bhattacharjee and Piu Mukherjee, among others.
Alaap’s mother had gone missing in the first season. Will Alaap and Shruti be able to find her, solve all the mysteries and protect Anandagarh? The news season promises to bring new twists and turns in their lives.
The trailer gives a glimpse into the lives of the lead characters, the rivalry between Alaap and Naad over music and beyond. There is going to be a final showdown between the two, which is set to be the ultimate spotlight of this season.
In an interview, Ditipriya Roy, who plays Saaz in the series, said: “Ever since the first part has been released, it has been an immensely fulfilling experience…”
Vikram Chatterjee thanked the audience for showering immense love on the first season.
