Randeep Hooda plays the title character in Netflix's upcoming criminal drama 'CAT', which is set in the Punjab hinterlands.
The first trailer for Netflix's new crime drama 'CAT', which stars Randeep Hooda in the lead role, has been released. The official Hindi trailer for the crime drama series, which was mostly shot in Punjabi, is also out.
In the series, which is set in the Punjab hinterlands, an innocent man is drawn into a complex situation involving the trafficking of drugs by mob bosses, law enforcement, and prominent politicians. Hooda portrays a former informant who is compelled to enter a drug ring after his brother is imprisoned for trafficking drugs.
In the more than one-minute trailer, we have seen that Gurnaam Singh, played by Randeep Hooda, is compelled to take a policeman's offer to work as a mole despite adopting a new identity and going on with his life. Despite the fact that he has experience in this arena, this time the stakes are extremely high because a family member is in danger. He gets himself thrust into the underbelly of corruption, deceit, and crime to bring down a thriving drug cartel in order to defend his brother's future.

While talking about his character in the film, Randeep Hooda said,“Gurnaam Singh is fierce yet calm, he is strong yet fragile and while you will find a familiarity with this character, you will not be able to guess his next move. I am thoroughly excited with ‘CAT’ and that Balli (Balwinder Singh Janjua) has brought authenticity and genuineness to each and every scene.”
Following 'Extraction', the action thriller starring Chris Hemsworth from Marvel's 'Thor' franchise, 'CAT' is Randeeep Hooda's second collaboration with the streaming service.
'CAT' will be released on December 9 and is available in Punjabi, Hindi, and English. The series has been helmed by Balwinder Singh Janjua and produced by Movie Tunnel Productions in collaboration with Jelly Bean Entertainment.
