‘We’ve Matured Over The Years’: Arbaaz Khan Discusses His Equation With Ex-Wife Malaika Arora

Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan have been co-parenting their son Arhaan, who is now 20 years old.

New Delhi: After divorcing one other after a marriage that lasted for eighteen years, Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan now have friendly contact with one another. The couple separated on May 11, 2017, and since then have transitioned into co-parenting their son Arhaan, who is now 20 years old.

While speaking with Siddharth Kannan in an interview, Arbaaz Khan discussed his relationship with Malaika Arora after their divorce. The actor said that he and Malaika have made it to a better place in their relationship and are more understanding of one other's decisions today. He said they have become more tolerant of one other's preferences and are committed to ensuring their son, Arhaan is raised in a morally upstanding setting.

Arbaaz said, “We have a child together, so we have to be in a nice state of mind, and that’s how we’ve always been. And yes, we’ve both grown to be different people, and we’ve matured over the years, and have been a little more accepting about each other’s… A lot of things. We’ve got to move on in life, we have to accept things in life, and there are a lot of things about me that she may have accepted and a lot of things about her that I may have accepted. But we have one common interest, and that’s our child. And he doesn’t deserve to any kind of scenario where there’s a discord while he’s growing up.”

He added, “She’s been mature about a lot of things, and fortunately, I have been as well. She’s right, we’ve grown to appreciate each other’s… Choices, let’s put it that way, and life decisions.”

Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora get married in 1998. In early 2017, the couple announced their divorce after being married for 18 years.

Arbaaz Khan is now dating Giorgia Andriani, while Malaika Arora is dating actor Arjun Kapoor. On the work front, Malaika was most recently seen in her role as a judge on ‘India's Best Dancer’.

In the meanwhile, Arbaaz Khan is working hard to promote his new web series ‘Tanaav’, which also stars Danish Husain, Ekta Kaul, Manav Vij, and a number of other actors. It is scheduled to make its debut on SonyLIV on November 11th.
