Samrat Prithviraj Film Tax-free: After Yogi Adityanath, Uttarakhand CM Also Declares Akshay Kumar Film Tax Free
The move comes soon after UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the Akshay Kumar film 'Samrat Prithviraj' as tax free.
After Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand has declared Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar starrer 'Samrat Prithviraj' taxfree. The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand announced that the historical period-action drama will be tax free on its release on Friday, June 3, 2022. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami told ANI that 'Samrat Prithviraj' will be tax free in the hill-state.
The move comes soon after UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the Akshay Kumar film as tax free. An ANI tweet on the same report said, "We announce that the movie 'Samrat Prithviraj' will be made tax-free in Uttar Pradesh so that a common man can also watch this movie: UP CM Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow."
Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah who had attended the screening with his wife saw the film and was all praises for it.
Akshay Kumar also shared a picture with Amit Shah on his official Instagram handle and wrote, "A very emotional and proud evening for me. Had the rare honour of having Hon’ble Home Minister Amit Shah ji watch #SamratPrithviraj. उनकी हमारी फ़िल्म के लिए प्रशंसा ने हमारी मेहनत सफल कर दी! Ever so thankful 🙏🏻 @amitshahofficial"
'Samrat Prithviraj' has been directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi of 'Chanakya' fame. The film chronicles the life story of Prithviraj Chauhan also known as Rai Pithora, a king from the Chauhan dynasty who ruled the territory of Sapadalaksha, with his capital at Ajmer in present-day Rajasthan.
The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Manav Vij, Ashutosh Rana and Sakshi Tanwar in supporting roles. Filmed on a massive budget of Rs 300 crores, 'Samrat Prithviraj' is being touted and promoted along the lines of a pan-India film.
It is all set for a release on Friday, 3rd June 2022.
