New Delhi: Yograj Singh, father of former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh, has often raised controversy over objectionable comments on Indian cricket, especially in the context of former captain MS Dhoni. Time and again, Yograj has managed a way to make it to the headlines for his controversial statements. This time, he has hurt everyone's sentiments by making ‘highly condemnable, inflammatory and abusive’ speeches in the ongoing protests about the new Agricultural laws.

Yograj Singh has been a part of Vivek Agnihotri’s film ‘The Kashmir Files’ which was planned to be shot in the month of March before the lockdown. Now according to the latest reports, the director of the film Vivek Agnihotri has dropped Yograj Singh from the film over his comment on farmer’s issue. The first schedule of the film has started in Mussoorie this week.
Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri said, “After having a long chat with Yograj Singh, I cast him for a very important role for my upcoming film ‘The Kashmir Files’. I knew that he had a history of making disputed statements, but I ignored it because I usually don't mix art and artist. I always keep politics away from the artist. But when I came to know about his speech, I was shocked as I cannot tolerate anyone talking about women in such a manner. It is not about any Hindu woman or Muslim woman. It is about the way he spoke so badly about women in general. He also tried to create such a disgusting and divisive narrative. My film is about the genocide of minorities in Kashmir. I cannot choose someone who is trying to divide society on the basis of religion in particular. I have, therefore, sent him a letter informing him that he is no longer a part of my film.”
“I make films that reveal the truth and I do not want this person to be a part of this truth. Everything he said was disgusting and people like him just want to create violence”, concluded the director.
On the professional front, Vivek Agnihotri has become the creative guru for India's first 'School of Creativity'. He also completed the shooting of another film called 'The Last Show' some time back.
