Sandalwood Drugs Case: Karnataka High Court Grants Bail To Sanjjanaa Galrani

Actress Sanjjanaa Galrani was granted bail after three months in connection with a drugs case.

The Karnataka High Court on Friday (December 11) granted bail to actress Sanjjanaa Galrani, who was arrested in September 2020 in connection with a drugs case. The Sandalwood actress will have to furnish a personal bond of Rs 3 lakh with two sureties of like amount, a report in ANI said. Galrani has been directed to co-operate in the investigation and appear before the police twice every month. Justice Sreenivas Harish Kumar granted Sanjjana bail on a personal bond of Rs 3 lakh and two sureties of the same amount.

The Central Crime Branch Police had arrested Sanjjanaa Galrani for allegedly consuming and supplying drugs at high-profile parties and events in Bengaluru. She was arrested under various provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985 on September 8. A 10-member CCB team raided Sanjjanaa's house for over five hours before taking her way for interrogation. On the professional front, Sanjjanaa was last seen in Colors TV's show 'Mujhe Shaadi Karoge'. The reality show featured 'Bigg Boss 13' contestants Paras Chhabra and Shehnaaz Gill. Ragini Dwivedi was also arrested on September 4 in connection with Bengaluru Police's investigation in the alleged drugs case. After a brief period in police custody, both Ragini and Sanjjana were sent to judicial custody on September 14. Several drugs peddlers and party organizers were also nabbed as part of the probe.
