'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' Star Stranded In LA Amid Lockdown, Says ‘Have Started Process Of Returning Back To India’

TV actress Aditi Bhatia went to the US to attend an acting workshop in February but she couldn't return back to India as the flights got cancelled due to the COVID-19 lockdown.

New Delhi: The Coronavirus pandemic has severely affected the functioning of many countries of the world including India. While most of the people in India are following social distancing and keep themselves locked inside their homes, some Indians are stranded in foreign countries as international and domestic flights are cancelled at the moment. The Indian government on Tuesday (May 5) announced its plan to rescue the Indian nationals, who are stranded in foreign countries due to COVID-19. Popular TV actress Aditi Bhatia, who is fondly known for playing the role of Ruhi in Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathi starrer ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’, is stuck in Los Angeles due to the Coronavirus lockdown. She reportedly went to the US to attend an acting workshop. Aditi, while talking to a leading daily, said that her family has started the process of returning home.
“My mother and I are aware of this development. She has filled the required application forms like the rest of the people, who are stranded here. There are no flights back home from the airports close to us, so we plan to travel within USA first to reach an airport that has a flight to India. This is a bit risky, too, given the circumstances,” the actress told Times Of India.
