Music composer and singer Vishal Dadlani has officially announced his departure from the popular singing reality show ‘Indian Idol’ after serving as a judge for six consecutive seasons. The announcement was made via his official Instagram handle, where he shared an emotional video along with a heartfelt note expressing his gratitude.

In the video, Vishal is seen alongside his fellow judges Shreya Ghoshal and Badshah. The audio track was replaced by Christian 21's “Time,” adding a reflective touch to the clip. Shreya is seen playfully making faces, while Badshah shares a few words off-camera.

In his note, Vishal wrote,"That’s all from me, folks! Six straight seasons later, tonight is my last episode as a judge on Indian Idol. I hope the show will miss me as much as I’ll miss it. Thanks Shreya, Badshah, Adi, Aradhana, Chitra, Anand ji, Sonal, Pratibha, Sahil, Saloni, Muskaan, Abisha, the entire production crew, Vilas, Pakya, Kaushik (Pinky), and all the co-judges, singers, and musicians down the years! Vishal captioned the post: "Alvida, yaaro. 6 seasons mein jitna mazaa kiya, uss se bhi zyada yaad aayegi (Goodbye, friends. I’ll remember this even more than the fun I had in six seasons).@shreyaghoshal @badboyshah @adityanarayanofficial #IndianIdol @fremantleindia @sonytvofficial @aradhanabhola @chitralangeh. Haqq se zyada pyaar milaa hai, iss show ki wajah se (Received more love than I ever asked for, thanks to this show). Eternally grateful to everyone involved."

He further clarified the reason behind his exit, stating,“I’m literally only leaving because I want my time back. Can’t stay stuck in Mumbai for 6 months each year! Time to get back to making music, playing concerts, and almost never putting on make-up! It’s #VishalAndSheykhar season!! Jai ho!”

Vishal also extended his heartfelt thanks to the entire crew and production team of ‘Indian Idol’, mentioning everyone from sound engineers and tech staff to the photographers and cleaning crew, showing deep appreciation for their support over the years.
