Tunisha Sharma Will Not Be Replaced In Alibaba: Dastaan-E-Kabul, Show Not Going Off-Air
A channel official has reportedly stated that Alibaba-Dastaan-e-Kabul will not stop airing.
New Delhi: After the show's protagonist Tunisha Sharma passed away, there have been rumours that 'Alibaba-Dastaan-e-Kabul' may be shut down. A channel official has stated that the tv show would continue and that there are no intentions to stop airing it in the midst of the speculations.
According to a report in the ETimes, the show remains on the air by focusing on other characters and different themes. “The show is definitely not going off-air. It will continue,” a channel official confirmed the publication.
Although it has been reported that Tunisha's role won't be changed, the search for lead actors is still ongoing. Instead, they'll hire a fresh actor to portray a different role.
The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) submitted a notice to the show's producers alleging severe negligence.
“The cases of suicidal deaths of the young actors and actresses are increasing and such deaths could have been avoided if the producers keep an eye on such things happening on the sites. All the crew members are hired by the producers for his project and hence it is the responsibility of the producers to look after the well-being, safety and security of the crew members,” the letter read.
A day after Tunisha's death, Sheezan Khan, her co-star and former boyfriend, was detained when the late actor's mother Vanita Sharma accused him of aiding in suicide. Sheezan and Tunisha dated for a while, and according to his family, they ended their relationship mutually just a few days before Tunisha was found dead.
After his police custody expired on December 31, the Vasai court ordered Sheezan to spend 14 days in judicial custody.
On the set of her tv show 'Ali Baba: Daastan-E-Kabul', actor Tunisha Sharma was discovered dead on December 24.
