New Delhi: Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s former girlfriend and popular TV star Ankita Lokhande remembered him by lighting a diya in front of her temple. Ankita dedicated a post to the 'Kai Po Che' actor, who left for his heavenly abode on June 14. While fans are paying tribute to Sushant by sharing his throwback pictures and videos, Ankita lit another diya for SSR ahead of the release of his last film 'Dil Bechara'. Ankita had earlier shared a post on Sushant's one-month death anniversary on social media. The 'Baaghi 3' actress didn't mention the 'Raabta' actor but called him 'Child of God' in her post. This was her first post on social media since the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput.
Ankita and Sushant became household names after playing the respective roles of Archana and Manav in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Pavitra Rishta’. The show was a huge hit on Zee TV and ran for five long years. The daily soap had completed over 1000 episodes before going off air in 2014. The former couple parted ways in 2016, leaving their fans surprised. Ankita met Sushant's family members at his residence in Mumbai after the actor's demise. She looked devastated and could barely walk without support. Gossip mills are buzzing with the rumours that Ankita has approached Ekta Kapoor to make a sequel of 'Pavitra Rishta'. The production house is yet to make any official announcement. Talking about Sushant, the talented actor's last film 'Dil Bechara' will premiere directly on Disney+ Hotstar on July 24 at 7:30pm. The much-awaited movie will be available for the non-subscribers as well on the OTT platform. 'Dil Bechara', which the Hindi adaptation of John Green's novel 'The Fault in our Stars', will mark the Bollywood debut of Sanjana Sanghi. Watch this space for more updates!
