Rupali Ganguly, famous for her role as the lead in the Anupamaa, has addressed recent rumors suggesting that she might be leaving the show following a supposed 15-year leap in the storyline.

Actress Rupali Ganguly, famous for her role as the lead in the popular television show 'Anupamaa', has addressed recent rumors suggesting that she might be leaving the show following a supposed 15-year leap in the storyline.

In response to these speculations, Rupali Ganguly shared her thoughts, saying in a statement, "Wow, people really have some overactive imagination. But thank you for talking about me and the show. What can I say? Every person has a core, and mine is gratitude. My husband and I both believe that whatever Rajan Ji has given me — the recognition, the platform, the position — I can never repay it in this lifetime. Anupamaa is not just a show to me; it’s an emotion, it’s my home, my second home, and all my fur babies are here. The team has become like family to me. So, would anyone leave their family or their home? And God forbid, may it never happen."

She continued, "If Rajan Ji (the producer) ever decides that he no longer needs me, I might argue with him and request to stay on Anupamaa. I opened the gate for this show, and I will remain part of it till the end. Even if I face challenges, I will not leave. There’s no truth to such rumors. Anupamaa made me who I am today, and it’s an integral part of me.”

Rupali also expressed her disbelief over the rumors, calling them “ridiculous.”

She added, “To those who have supported me, I want to say that no matter what, please keep watching 'Anupamaa'. The show should continue. Rajan Ji is the creator, and the vision of Anupamaa is his. As long as he wants me, I will work with full dedication and passion. I hope this journey continues for many more years. But this is just the beginning; the best is yet to come. So, keep sending love, and I will work hard to be worthy of your appreciation. Thank you, and don’t entertain speculations.”

Producers Deepa Shahi and Rajan Shahi also addressed the rumors, clarifying, “We want to make it clear that these rumors have no basis. From the very start, Anupamaa has been a show that celebrates real emotions and relationships. Its success is thanks to the hard work of our talented cast and crew, and the unwavering love and support of our fans. We understand how much the show means to the audience, and we will keep you informed if there’s anything major to share."

Rajan Shahi further praised Rupali, saying, “Rupali has set a huge benchmark as an actress. She effortlessly brings the character to life. I can't imagine Anupamaa without her. The kind of admiration she receives is exemplary.”

'Anupamaa' is produced by Deepa Shahi and Rajan Shahi.
