REEMA LAGOO DEMISE: ‘Naamkarann’ co-actors BURST into TEARS after the news
New Delhi: Veteran actress Reema Lagoo’s death has left entertainment industry in shock. Till yesterday, she was fine and was shooting for Star Plus’ serial ‘Naamkarann’.
Reema lagoo played the role of ‘Dayawanti Ben’ in the show. When the cast and crew came to know about her sudden demise, they were baffled. TV actor Viraf Patel, who played the role of her son in ‘Naamkarann’, could not believe this.
According to news in TOI, Viraf Patel burst into tears while talking to the portal on phone. He said “I was just talking to a colleague from Naamkarann and got to know that she was working till last evening. I can't believe that she is no more with us. She was such a hardworking and meticulous lady. She was one of the most gorgeous ladies that I have ever met. She was majestic at her work and we all used to blush just looking at her when she used to give her shots. It is a heartbreaking news for me.”
TV actress Gulfam Khan too could not control her tears as she talked about Reema Lagoo with TOI. She said , “I am devastated after hearing the news. I am not able to come to terms with the news. She was shooting with us till 7 pm yesterday. Reemaji was in such a good mood as we all were shooting for the sangeet ceremony. She had a bad throat so was not able to talk much. Life is so unpredictable." Zain Imam, plays the role of Neil, posted this video on Instagram.
Reema Lagoo is known for her role as mother in hit films like, ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kon’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and ‘Vastav’. He one of the best roles was of mother-in-law in Star Plus’ show ‘Tu Tu Main Main’ with Supriya Pilgaonkar playing her daughter-in-law. She also won the Best Actress in a Comic Role Award for this show.A very humble human being. I still remember i used to tease you and that pat u would give me on my back.
