Rakhi Sawant Claims Adil Khan Durrani Was Previously Married, Used To Threaten Her

New Delhi: Rakhi Sawant’s husband Adil Khan was arrested on Tuesday (February 7) after the Bigg Boss 14 contestant filed an FIR against him. Rakhi has accused Adil of taking her money and jewellery, physically abusing him, and of extramarital affairs. 

Now the actress has claimed that Adil was previously married. In a conversation with ETimes, Rakhi revealed that she received his marriage and divorce letter from his ex-wife. 

“All my cases are filed in court. I had given a hundred chances for Adil to settle down. But now I've got breaking news that Adil is already married. I have received his marriage and divorce letter. Only God will tell why these things happen to me. People come to know because I come out in public and speak. It happens to a lot of women but they don't come forward. I am brave,” she was quoted as saying by ETimes. 

“My life has been destroyed. Main ab zinda laash ho gayi hoon. My mother passed away. My marriage is over. I'm living dead. I will continue to do work. The biggest shock that I've got is that Adil's wife called me and told me, ‘I was a Hindu girl. But he forced me to convert to Islam to marry me’,” Rakhi added. 

Rakhi also said that Adil used to beat her and blackmailed her to make him a hero and forced her to tell everyone that he is a big businessman. She also said that he threatened him of getting her killed. 

 “I still love him and will always love him. But he has betrayed me, deceived me. He used to beat me saying, "Mujhe hero banao". On top of that he said, ‘Mere against gayi toh pachaas hazaar dekar truck se kuchalwa dunga.’ (If you go against me then I'll pay someone 50000 and get you run over by a truck),” she was quoted as saying by ETimes. 

Earlier on Tuesday, Rakhi collapsed and fell outside the Oshiwara Police Station. Rakhi, accompanied by her brother Rakesh Sawant, spoke to the media about Adil outside the Oshiwara police station. She was explaining how Adil had been contacting her nonstop all day to discuss the police report when she suddenly passed out from fatigue.   

Rakhi had also accused Adil of her mother's death and said she would have been alive today had she been given medical treatment on time. 

"You have killed my mother. Had my mother's treatment been done on time, then maybe she wouldn't have died. You have left me with no options...You have brought me to the streets, robbed me," she added. 

Rakhi Sawant surprised everyone when she revealed about her wedding to Adil Khan through an Instagram post early this year. The couple got married in 2022 and she kept the marriage a secret at Adil’s request.
