New Delhi : The famous show of Star Plus ‘ Diya Aur Baati’ used to have the highest TRP rate but now serial is winding up in September. Now the fresh news regarding the serial is that it will return with fresh look and fresh faces. Ohh! Does that mean that new Sandhya and new sooraj?
Yes, actors Deepika Singh and Anas Rashid will not be part of Diya Aur Baati Hum season 2, while rest of the cast will be retained.
From the current season, only characters to be retained include Bhabho , Baba Sa, Meena and Vikram will be retained . Sooraj and Sandhya will be shown dead in the show and the story will take off from there .
Sources close to the show say that for the male lead, the makers are looking for a known face from Bollywood and have apparently approached Sharman Joshi for same. For the female cast the auditions are on for a fresh face as it would be a character of a simple homely girl. The new season is been written by writer Shashi Mittal who also happens to be the producer for the show.
Serial will have its last episode this September and will be replaced by ‘Naamkaran’ which is Mahesh Bhatt’s biopic .
