Kaun Banega Crorepati 12: Can You Answer These 16 Questions Faced By First Crorepati Nazia Nasim? Anupa Das hails from Jagdalpur, Bastar in Chattisgarh, and is a teacher by profession. She is the sole bread earner in her family and after she correctly answered the Rs 1 crore question, the contestant got emotional. Anupa revealed that she will use the winning amount for the treatment of her mother who is suffering from gall bladder cancer. Throughout the game, the smile on Anupa's face never faded. Big B was also impressed with her confidence and praised Das for playing the game so well. Recently, while in a conversation with Indian Express, Anupa revealed after winning the big amount, “I am coming to terms with it. Being on the show has completely changed my life. People’s attitude towards me and every little thing around me has changed, for the better. I am actually at a loss of words to explain this indescribable feeling.” Anupa further opened up about her life and said that she has been living with her parents post her divorce from her husband. Anupa disclosed that she has been divorced just after a month of her marriage. She said, “My family and I have had a really hard time as majority of the money was spent in hospitals. Now, all that I have is theirs. Everything that I have earned on the show is going to go towards supporting my family. By God’s grace, we finally have the resources to give my mother the best possible treatment.” After answering the Rs 1 crore question correctly, Anupa decided to quit the game when she was asked the Rs 7 crore question as she was unsure of the answer. But after she quit the game, Big B revealed that her answer for Rs 7 crore was correct. Elaborating her views on the same, she said, “The question was based on sports, and since it’s not my strength, I did panic a little. One wrong answer would have taken away a huge sum, which we, as a family, need right now. Thus I decided to let it go. However, post the game, when Amit ji announced that I had chosen the correct answer, I was astounded. Nonetheless, I am very happy and proud of what I achieved on the show.” ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12’: FIR Lodged Against Amitabh Bachchan And Makers Stay tuned for more updates.
