Mumbai: Popular TV actress Anita Hassanandani, fondly known for playing the role of Shagun in ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’, has refuted the rumours which suggested that she is quitting acting. The ‘Naagin 3’ star said that people mistook her quote from a recent interview. She clarified that she is not bidding adieu to the industry and just taking a small break to take care of her newborn son. 

“It’s all over that I’m quitting my first love ACTING. I never said that…. All I said was that my focus right now is my child…. Aaravv is my priority… I will resume work when I’m ready,” Anita tweeted.

Anita and her husband Rohit Reddy welcomed their first child on February 9, 2021. The two lovebirds, who got married in October 2013, are on cloud nine since the arrival of a little bundle of joy into their lives. 

The ‘Kkavyanjali’ actress and Reddy often share cute photos of their baby boy Aarav Reddy on social media. They have even created a page for their son on Instagram.  

Anita recently posted an adorable boomerang video of her son on Instagram. The caption for the post read, "My little one when he was 3 days old!
Mybabyboobooolovellllllyycuttieeepattotie."

On the professional front, Anita was last seen in ‘Naagin 4’, which starred Nia Sharma and Vijayendra Kumeria in lead roles. She played the role of Vishakha in the supernatural show, which aired on Colors channel. She became a household name after essaying the role of Shagun in Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya starrer 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein'.

Anita also participated in ‘Nach Baliye 9’ with her husband Rohit Reddy in 2019. The couple emerged as the second runner-up of the dance reality show.
