Hip Hip Hurray Characters Slam Shah Rukh Khan & Kajol's Kuch Kuch Hota Hai In An Old Video

The buddy drama 'Hip Hip Hurray' was one of the cult-favorite Indian television show.

New Delhi: At the height of Indian television's golden age, Zee TV broadcast the buddy drama 'Hip Hip Hurray'. But we were unaware that the cult-favorite television show had a connection to another classic, 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'. The characters of the show can be seen discussing the most recent film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in one of the episodes.

There has been much debate about how Shah Rukh Khan's character Rahul is ultimately won over by the makeover of Anjali into a feminine woman. The story has received a lot of criticism for feeding sexist stereotypes about women. Recently, an old episode clip of the show that was years ahead of its time has gone viral, where the characters could be seen spitting facts about the film.

The show's fans have responded in the comments area to agree with the realistic assessment of the rom-com. In the meantime, they took the chance to laud the series for being exceptional in its genre and one of the most remarkable coming-of-age dramas of its time.

The Indian television show 'Hip Hip Hurray' was created and directed by Nupur Asthana. The storyline is based on the experiences, fears, aspirations, relationships, and activities of DeNobili High School's 12th-grade students. The first episode aired on Zee TV channel in 1998 and the show ended in 2001.
