New Delhi: Former TV actor and CID fame Viivek Mashru is currently a professor at Bengaluru, Karnataka's CMR University. The actor, well known for his portrayal of Inspector Vivek in the CID television series, is now trending on social media.
Recently, some Twitter users posted a photo of Vivek Mashru as they were feeling extremely nostalgic about the CID series and its actors. On social media, people have begun posting pictures in addition to some popular sequences from Sony TV. "If you know him, your childhood was awesome," reads the tweet.
Vivek Mashru retweeted one of those fan tweets and wrote, "Thank you so much for your kindness, love, and appreciation for whatever little I have done. It means a lot to me and it is deeply appreciated! Infinite gratitude and love, always." The actor's reaction clearly won the internet, and the fans immediately did a background check on him. Mashru's current life and his new profession has left the fans clearly surprised.
Interestingly, a Twitter user wrote, "He is a professor at my brother's college now, not even kidding." The Twitter user revealed that Viivek teaches "Design Thinking" in the post's comments section.

Viivek describes himself as "Director - Department of Common Core Curriculum (DCCC) | CMR University (CMRU)" on his Linkedin page. The actor expressed his gratitude to the college's staff in a new post and mentioned that he started in April 2021.
"In April 2021, I was entrusted with bringing to life the Common Core Curriculum (CCC) at CMR University – an innovative curriculum primarily designed to enable students of CMRU to thrive in the university of life. In less than 2 years, CMRU’s Department of Common Core Curriculum (DCCC) implemented the CCC across 8 Schools of Studies, for 63 undergraduate programmes and 18 postgraduate programmes, in 4 campuses, offering 73+ courses and reaching 6,000+ students! The 30,000+ hours of community service activities, the celebration of the ‘Community Service Day’, and the phenomenal annual ‘Design Thinking Days’ have become milestone moments for the DCCC!" he wrote.
In addition to CID, Viivek appeared in the children's television show Akkad Bakkad Bambey Bo.
