But it was 65-year-old bhajan singer Anupa Jalota who stole the limelight in the premiere episode as he announced being in a relationship with her 28-year-old student & jodidaar Jasleen Matharu[Check out some unknown facts about Jasleen here]. Well here are some unknown facts related to legendary ghazal-bhajan singer & 'Bigg Boss 12' contestant Anup Jalota: First marriage: 'Bhajan Samrat' Anup Jalota's first got married a Gujarati girl named Sonali Sheth without his family's approval. Sonali was his student then and who later became a skilled singer. They became popular as a couple in the concert circuit as "Anup and Sonali Jalota". However, their marriage broke up and Sonali reportedly ran away to marry singer Roop Kumar Rathod (who was his accompanist) in those days. Roop Kumar Rathod & Sonali are still married and are a parents to a daughter named Reewa, who is a singer too. Reportedly, Bina couldn’t settle down comfortably with the Jalotas. Third Marriage: After two failed weddings, Anup then tied the knot with former Indian Prime Minister I. K. Gujral's niece Medha Gujral, who was earlier married to director Shekhar Kapur's first wife. After her divorce with Shekhar in 1994, Anup & Medha got married. Medha & Anup's marriage sailed smoothly. They became parents to a son named Aryaman in 1996 and were a happy family. Medha Jalota died four years ago on November 25, 2014 at a hospital in New York City of liver failure following a second heart and first kidney transplant leaving Anup Jalota alone again.
