New Delhi: Popular TV actress Shivangi Joshi won several hearts with her power-packed performance as Naira in 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. Her sizzling chemistry with co-star Mohsin Khan grabbed several eyeballs for the daily soap. Shivangi recently bid adieu to ‘Yeh Rishta’ as her track ended after the makers decided to introduce a generation leap.
Shivangi and Moshin left ‘YRKKH’ after the makers introduced Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathor as the new leads. Ardent fans of the show were disappointed after Joshi and Khan’s stint in the show ended.
While Mohsin is currently busy with the shoot of a music video, Shivangi will soon return to the small screen. Yes, you read that right!
Shivangi Joshi To Play Grown-Up Anandi In Colors TV's Balika Vadhu 2
According to a report in Times Of India, the makers of ‘Balika Vadhu 2’ have roped in Shivangi for the show. Joshi will essay the role of grown-up Anandi in the second season of the social drama.
A source told the leading daily that the team decided to cast Shivangi after considering many names. She is expected to commence shoot for 'Balika Vadhu 2' soon as the leap will take place by the end of November or start of December, the report in TOI said.
‘Balika Vadhu 2’ was launched in August 2021 with several expectations. However, the second season featuring Shreya Patel and Vansh Sayani failed to strike a chord with the viewers. While the first season was a TRP topper, ‘Balika Vadhu 2’ couldn’t set the ratings chart on fire.
Interestingly, Shivangi had entered 'Yeh Rishta' after the show took a leap. It remains to be seen if her charm works again or not.
