New Delhi: Actress Avika Gor has excelled since making her acting debut in Balika Vadhu as Anandi. She moved to the South's film business after appearing in a few other TV shows in order to establish herself as a leading lady. While claiming to be glad of her path, Avika recently made fun of her part in Sasural Simar Ka and mentioned how the character Roli did a lot of embarrassing things.
The actor was questioned by Siddharth Kanan about a role that gives her the willies. Though initially hesitant to respond, Avika chose Roli from Sasural Simar Ka. She went on to describe the "weird things" she did while filming the episode.
"I have told a bhoot (ghost) to not take the law into its own hands. I have been stabbed by a trishul. I have gone through the impossible,” she laughed. Avika added, “I have returned from the dead thrice, and was kidnapped 50 times. I even got married six or seven times.” The actor explained how she was married to the same person thrice and the rest of the time was ‘almost’ married off to someone else."
The actor chuckled as she described how tough it was to film the show since it made her feel nervous in real life. However, Avika claimed that the channel Colours treated her as if she were their own. She revealed that she would only film for the show eight days a month in order to dedicate time to her feature picture debut. The actor was visibly moved as she discussed her path and made a commitment to take part in bigger productions soon.
During an interview with The Indian Express, Avika had opened up about being picky when it comes to TV shows.
She shared, "I always wanted to try doing films and so chose my projects wisely. I have always wanted to do different characters. After Balika Vadhu, I did Sasural Simar Ka and Laado 2, and I think it was because Colors really manages to convince me well. I also experimented with Khatron Ke Khiladi and Khatra Khatra on the channel. I think just like they are my favourite, I am also their favourite. We have a nice bond and I enjoy working with the team. They have been trying hard to get me on Bigg Boss but haven’t been able to convince me yet."
Avika Gor will be making her Bollywood debut with '1920 Horrors Of The Heart' slated to release in theatres on June 23.
