New Delhi: ‘Shark Tank India Season 2’s latest episode saw a bidding war among sharks when Amit Jain, Anupman Mittal and Vineeta Singh. However, ‘Scrap Uncle’s entrepreneur received a final offer of Rs. 60 lakhs for 5% equity from Car Dekho founder Amit Jain after a lot of bidding which ultimately increased the valuation of the company.
Another entrepreneur story by Sharmaji Ka Aata made the sharks quite emotional with another heated battle between Amit Jain and Shaadi.com founder Anupam Mittal.
While Anupam Mittal backed out, Amit Jain made quite a ‘Sharky’ deal ( as Aman Gupta said) and Vineeta Singh also made an offer to Sharmaji Ka Aata.
However, when Amit made an offer, Anupam said ‘ouch’ and later decided to offer a no-debt deal even after the entrepreneurs accepted the Amit and Vineeta's deal.
When Amit said, “ Inhone to offer bhi nahi kia,” Anupam Mittal reinstated that he will give a no-debt deal of Rs. 40 lakh for 20% equity. Amit later emphasized that this is not done, Namita said, “all is fair in love and war,” and Vineeta shared that it was an ‘emotional’ gesture and a really good deal for them.
Another hair care brand with the name ‘Meintain’ later in the episode asked for Rs 75 lakhs for 2.5 % equity. Amit Jain called their branding really poor and even said, “aap log time pass kar rahe ho”, to which Namita interrupted and said, “time pass thoda harsh word nahi hai.” Amit agreed and said, “yes and I want to be harsh.” While all sharks backed out, Aman Gupta offered a deal to them on the condition that they hire a CMO. Aman made an offer with Rs. 75 lakhs for 10% equity.
When the Meintain entrepreneurs took the offer, Amit interrupted and said, "Aman bhai ye paise wapis nahi ayenge," to which Vineeta countered and said, "I hope aa jaye." Nevertheless, the two entreprenuers took the deal and were thankful to Aman Gupta.
