'Swayamvar Mika Di Vohti': Mika Singh’s Friend Akanksha Puri Enters As Wildcard Contestant

New Delhi: Mika Singh is currently searching for his bride in the reality show ‘Swayamvar: Mika Di Vohti’. The show, which premiered on Star Bharat on June 19, has contestants from all over India competing to woo the Punjabi singer.
Now Mika’s old friend and actress Akanksha Puri has entered the show as a wild card contestant. The promo showed the show's host, Shaan, introducing Aakanksha as one of Mika's closest friends over the years.
Shaan says, "Woh aapki purani dost hain, almost 10 saal purani aapki dosti hai. Inke aur Mika ji ke beech mein media mein bhi kayi baar kaafi kuch kaha gaya hai. Inhe bhi Mika ke swaymvar mein as a wildcard include kiya gaya hai. (She is your old friend. Your friendship is nearly 10 years old. A lot has been written about her and Mika in the media. She has also been included as a wildcard contestant in the Swayamvar) "
Akanksha enters the stage after the announcement and says,"King ki queen toh ek he hogi (There will be only one Queen for the King). So here I am."
Akanksha spoke to The Times of India about participating in the show, she said she has to spread light and happiness in Mika’s life. ““I'm overjoyed and ecstatic to be a part of Mika Singh's Swayamvar. This place has a really great vibe. We’ve known each other for years and now I’ve come to spread light and happiness in Mika’s life. I can feel a lot of negativity in the air, the girls are frightened and fighting amongst themselves. No matter what, I’ll keep spreading love and happiness here,” the actress was quoted as saying.
Last year, there were rumours of Akanksha and Mika dating when the actress had attended Akhand Path at his house.
