Rajput leader Raj Shekhawat has threatened action against 'Pushpa 2' makers for allegedly insulting the 'Kshatriya' community.

Rajput leader Raj Shekhawat has threatened action against 'Pushpa 2' makers for allegedly insulting the 'Kshatriya' community. Sharing a post on X( formerly Twitter), Shekhawat said, "Pushpa 2 movie has a negative role of ‘Shekhawat,’ again insult to Kshatriyas, Karni Sainiks be ready, the producer of the movie will be thrashed soon." For those unaware, Fahadh Faasil plays the role of a corrupt police officer Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, the arch nemesis in the film.

What is the 'Shekhawat' controversy all about?

The Rajput leader emphasises that the 'Shekhawat' word in the movie apparently insulted the community and he demanded the makers to remove the word from the movie. 

"The movie has done grave insult to Kshatriyas. The 'Shekhawat' community has been presented in a poor light. This industry has been insulting the Kshatriyas in the name of freedom of speech, and they have again done the same thing," he can be heard saying in the video.

"The makers of the movie should remove the continuous use of 'Shekhawat' word from the movie, or else, the Karni Sena will thrash them inside their house and will go to any limits as required," Raj Shekhawat added.

Additionally, it broke the previous domestic opening record held by RRR, which earned ₹156 crore, making Pushpa 2 the biggest domestic opener of all time.
