Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil's diagnosis with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) has been a raging topic on several social media platforms. Ever since the celebrated actor's diagnosis came out, his fans have been rooting for him. Recently, Faasil's wife Nazriya Nazim, spoke about how his diagnosis impacted their lives.
In an interview with Manorama Online, Nazriya revealed that despite Fahadh's diagnosis, their lives have remained largely the same. "Fahadh has ADHD, but I began living with Shanu (Fahadh) before we knew about this condition. His personality traits were something I had been dealing with for a long time, and they became a part of our life,” she shared.
Adding that knowing about Fahadh's condition has made her more patient, other than that, their life has remained the same, she said, "Now that we know about the condition, I may have become a little more patient, but other than that, nothing in our life has changed,” she said.
Fahadh was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 41. The Malayali actor recalled while speaking at Peace Valley Children’s Village in Kothamangalam about how if he had been detected earlier in his life, the treatment would have made quite a difference.
At the time, Fahadh recalled asking a doctor about the possibility of curing ADHD, to which the doctor replied that it is easily curable if diagnosed in childhood. Fahahd then asked if he could be cured if diagnosed at 41, to which he received a response that said, "He told me it is easily curable if it is diagnosed during childhood. I asked him if it can be cured if diagnosed at 41. I am clinically diagnosed with ADHD. Even if it’s not that big, I too have some traits of the disorder,” the actor had said.
