Naga Chaitanya On Wedding Plans With Sobhita Dhulipala: 'Countdown For My Marriage' Has Started

New Delhi: A video of Naga Chaitanya dressed as a groom has been doing the rounds on social media. While many fans were confused about the actor, who recently got engaged to Sobhita Dhulipala, here are some facts about the video that fans are awaiting. The actor was present at the launch of a wedding collection of a clothing brand and spoke to mediapersons at the event.

Chay admitted that this was a 'countdown for my marriage'. However, he did not give any details about the wedding date or venue.

At the event, when Naga Chaitanya was asked if this was like a rehearsel for his upcoming wedding with Sobhita, he said, "Perhaps you could think so, that it’s a countdown kinda for my marriage.”

When Chay was asked if he wanted a big fat Indian wedding or a lowkey wedding, the actor said, "Marriage is about the people who mean a lot to me. It doesn’t have to be a big fat wedding but people keeping up with the cultures and traditions in mind, so that’s how I want it (marriage) to be.”

Naga Chaitanya was also asked about the date and venue for his wedding to Sobhita, the actor shared that nothing had been decided yet.

On August 8, Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya got engaged at the latter's house. The two announced their relationship on Gram with a poem that read, "What could my mother be to yours? What kin is my father to yours anyway? And how did you and I meet ever? Chaitanya's father Nagarjuna Akkineni had also announced his son's engagement on social media welcoming Sobhita into their familt. In an interaction with Times Now, the veteran actor said that Chay and Sobhita decided to have a rushed engagement as Aug 8 marked an auspicios date.

"We chose this day because it was very auspicious. Both families consulted the Nakshatras, and when we were told August 8 was a very auspicious day, we decided to go ahead with it,” he said.
