Thalapathy Vijay's action thriller film ‘Leo’ crossed the ₹200 crore mark in India but showed a little decline on Dussehra.

New Delhi: Thalapathy Vijay's action thriller film ‘Leo’ crossed the ₹200 crore mark in India but showed a little decline on Dussehra. According to the sacknilk report, ‘Leo’ collected Rs. 31.5 crore nett on Tuesday across all languages as per the early estimates. The film now has a domestic total of Rs. 248.6 crore.

Also 'Leo' opened at the box office last Thursday with a total of Rs 64.8 crores, of which Tamil shows made Rs 49 crores. The film got mixed reviews and didn't do well at the box office, dropping to Rs 35.25 crore on its second day. The film did well on Sunday, raking in Rs 41.55 crores, but it slowed down again on Monday. The Tamil occupancy rate for 'Leo' on Tuesday was 65.79%, while the Telugu occupancy rate was 48.40%, and the Hindi occupancy rate was 20.13%. In the five days following its release, 'Leo' has managed to achieve a worldwide gross of Rs 400 crore.

Film director and producer Manbola took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and shared the box office collection. He wrote, “Overseas markets have started to crash; this is unusual for a Lokesh Kanagaraj film. Normally, the director's films increase day by day, but in Leo, they go down with each passing day. Jailer in the first 4 days posted a fantastic Rs 302.89 crore across the world.”

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, it also stars Trisha Krishnan, Arjun, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Madonna Sebastian, George Maryan, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, and Mathew Thomas. Leo marks a reunion between Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj after the 2021 blockbuster Master. It also reunites Vijay with Trisha after their Tamil hits like Ghilli, Kuruvi, and Thirupaachi. Sanjay Dutt also made its tamil debut through this film.

'Leo' marks the second collaboration of Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj after 'Master'. The film’ Leo’ has now become the fourth highest-grossing Tamil film of all time, after the films Ponnaiyan Selvan-I, Jailer, and 2.0.

Thalapathy Vijay Starrer ‘Leo’ was released alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna's ‘Bhagavanth Kesari'.
