New Delhi: 'Devara Part 1' is raging at the box office. The Jr. NTR's solo hero comeback film directed by Koratal Siva, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, has collected Rs. 70 cr on its first day, opening day Friday.

Devara Part 1 Box Office Day 1

As per Sacnilk.com, 'Devara' collected Rs. 77 cr( Telugu Rs. 68.6 crore; Hindi: ₹7 crore; Kannada: ₹30 lakh; Tamil: ₹80 lakh; Malayalam: ₹30 lakh]. The film had an overall occupancy of 79.56% on Friday in the Telugu speaking states. The film’s worldwide gross is at Rs. 140 cr, crossing the Rs. 100 cr mark on Day 1 alone.

As per reports, the Hindi version of 'Devara' collected Rs. 7 cr on Friday. While the number is defintely lessser than the Telugu opening, it is decent considering not many Hindi films have also opened to that number.

However, the Hindi belt occupancy was only 18.37%.

Internationally, 'Devara' made a mark in the North American market. The film collected more than $2.8 million from premiere shows, leaving behind both Beetlejuice and Transformers One, which collectively grossed $2.5 million.

However, analysts have pointed out that 'Devara Part 1' still lags behind Prabhas-led 'Kalki 2898 AD' which collected Rs. 191.5 cr at the box office globally.

Devara Review

Director Siva Koratala does a commendable job of balancing action, drama, and emotion, though the writing could have been more refined. The film’s technical aspects, particularly the cinematography and music, are top-notch, creating a cinematic spectacle. Editing by Sreekar Prasad is satisfactory but could have been crisper, particularly in the film’s slower portions.

Verdict: A Visual and Emotional Rollercoaster

On the whole, 'Devara: Part 1' is a gripping action drama that offers an entertaining cinematic experience. Jr NTR delivers a stellar performance in two distinct roles, while Saif Ali Khan shines as the vengeful antagonist. The film’s stunning visuals, epic action sequences, and compelling performances make it a must-watch, even if the storyline becomes predictable at times. If you’re a fan of larger-than-life revenge dramas, 'Devara: Part 1' is definitely worth your time. Don’t miss out on this thrilling start to what promises to be an epic saga.
