Music composer Anirudh Ravichander has finally responded to the viral wedding rumours linking him to Kavya Maran, the daughter of media baron Kalanidhi Maran and owner of the IPL team SunRisers Hyderabad.

The speculation, which gained traction after a Reddit post claimed the two were in a relationship for over a year and planning to marry, quickly spread across social media. However, Anirudh wasted no time in clearing the air.

Addressing the buzz directly, the acclaimed music director took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account and wrote, “Marriage ah? lol .. Chill out guys. Please stop spreading rumours.”

While the internet speculated about his personal life, Anirudh remained immersed in an impressive lineup of professional commitments. He is currently composing music for several highly anticipated films, including Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’, Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’, Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Kingdom’, A.R. Murugadoss’s ‘Madharasi’, Vignesh Shivan’s ‘Love Insurance Kompany’, and Nani’s ‘Paradise’.

The 2023 blockbuster ‘Jailer’, produced by Sun Pictures, was a record-breaking hit, collecting over Rs 650 crore globally. On its first day alone, the film earned Rs 33 crore overseas, marking the highest ever for a Rajinikanth release, according to distributor Ayngaran International.

As a gesture of appreciation, Sun Pictures gifted Rajinikanth a BMW X7 and presented director Nelson Dilipkumar and Anirudh with brand-new Porsche cars and generous undisclosed cheques. Following the massive success, ‘Jailer 2’ was officially announced, with Anirudh returning as the music director and Nelson helming the sequel.
