Did Allu Arjun Make A Statement With His Pushpa 2 Hoodie During Arrest? Video Goes Viral

A case was filed against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management based on a complaint lodged by the deceased's family.

Telugu superstar Allu Arjun was taken into custody by Telangana Police in connection with the tragic stampede earlier this month at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre. The incident claimed the life of a 39-year-old woman and critically injured her son, drawing significant public attention. However, an unexpected moment during the Pushpa star’s arrest has caught the attention of observant fans online.

Allu Arjun wore Pushpa 2 iconic hoodie during arrest

In videos shared by TV9, Allu Arjun, casually dressed in green shorts and a t-shirt, is seen being escorted by police officials. Before entering an elevator with the officers, the actor gestures toward his attire, a detail that sparked discussion among fans on social media.

Other footage from the arrest shows Allu Arjun wearing a Pushpa 2 promotional shirt. He was later taken to the Chikkadpally police station in Hyderabad, where visuals again captured him in the Pushpa 2 merch. While some fans questioned the rationale behind holding a star accountable for a fan's tragic death at his film’s premiere, others found humor in the actor choosing to change into film merchandise during such a tense moment. However, it remains unclear whether the change of clothes was intentional or merely coincidental.

Allu Arjun was taken to the Chikkadpally police station, where he, along with his security team and Sandhya Theatre management, faced charges under Sections 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 118(1) (punishment for causing hurt) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. After his arrest, the actor was escorted to Osmania Hospital for a mandatory medical examination.

What happened at Sandhya Theatre?

The incident leading to Allu Arjun's arrest occurred on December 4, when a massive crowd of fans gathered at Sandhya Theatre, located at the bustling RTC Crossroads in Hyderabad, hoping to catch a glimpse of the actor. The stampede tragically claimed the life of a 39-year-old woman, Revathi, while her son, Sri Teja, suffered suffocation injuries. He is currently undergoing treatment and is reported to be recovering, police said.

A case was filed against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management based on a complaint lodged by the deceased's family. On Wednesday, the actor approached the High Court, seeking to quash the FIR and requesting a stay on all further legal proceedings, including his arrest, until the petition is resolved. The High Court is expected to hear the matter in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun had earlier announced a financial assistance package of Rs 25 lakh for Revathi’s family as a gesture of support during their tragic loss.
