New Delhi: Prithviraj Sukumaran's latest film, 'Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life,' has taken the box office by storm, garnering praise from both critics and audiences alike. Released on March 28, 2024, the survival drama directed by Blessy has had an exceptional first weekend, raking in over Rs 30 crore in India.
The film's captivating narrative, coupled with Prithviraj's stellar performance, has resonated with viewers, contributing to its impressive box office numbers. According to early estimates by Sacnilk.com, 'Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life' grossed approximately Rs 8.50 crore on Sunday alone, bringing its total weekend collection to a whopping Rs 30.10 crore.
In Kerala alone, 'Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life' amassed an impressive Rs 5.44 crore on its fourth day, with an occupancy rate of 86 per cent across 1,524 shows, as reported by the local industry tracker.
'Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life' has seen remarkable success not only in Kerala but also in key cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, and Mumbai, where it has witnessed high occupancy rates.
It seems like ‘Aadujeevitham’ would surpass ‘Manjummel Boys’ as the highest-grossing Malayalam film. Although the survival drama will definitely succeed after the Monday shows, the question is how big of an audience response it will get.
About Aadujeevitham
Based on the real-life story of Najeeb Muhammed, the film follows the trials and tribulations of a Kerala migrant worker forced into labour as a goat herder on a remote farm in Saudi Arabia. Prithviraj Sukumaran's portrayal of Najeeb has earned widespread acclaim for its authenticity and depth. According to Prithviraj, he first decided to take part in this project in 2008.
