Shehnaaz Gill recently discussed her family's lack of full support for her career choice.
New Delhi: Shehnaaz Gill believes that the decision she made when she was very young to follow her ambitions has helped her gain a significant amount of life experience. The well-known actress said that she moved out of her family's home when she was between the ages of 22 and 23 and that she didn't go back until she had established herself as a successful professional in the entertainment world.
Shehnaaz Gill recently discussed her family's lack of full support for her career choice in an interview with Bollywood Bubble. She said she left her hometown to follow her aspirations and make a name for herself.
Shehnaaz said, “When it comes to me or my dreams, nothing else matters to me; however when it comes to love, I need my parents. But I ran away as I wanted to prove to them that I can do a lot in this industry. Now, they all feel proud of me.”
Talking about her journey, she said, “I was making around Rs 15000, living in a PG, I would go for shoots regularly. They’d keep calling me, but I’d put the phone numbers of my family on a blocked list, even though I was very attached to my grandmother. I wanted to prove myself before talking to them. But patience pays off. And now, they’re all proud of me,”
Shehnaaz remarked that along her journey, she met many interesting individuals. The actress acknowledged her own growth and development, including the fact that she made mistakes and learned to recognise good and bad individuals. She said, "I met a lot of people, some were good and some were bad but had a different experience.”
Shehnaaz Gill has quickly been everyone's favourite ever since she appeared on season 13 of Bigg Boss. In the world of show business, the actress has certainly gone a long way. In the film ‘Honsla Rakh’, which was released last year, she had a lead role alongside Diljit Dosanjh.
