New Delhi: Last year has been quite traumatic for Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty as she was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in relation to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The Bombay High Court granted bail to the ‘Jalebi’ actress on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh in October 2020. After getting bail, Rhea made her first public appearance with brother Showik Chakraborty where the brother-sister duo was spotted house-hunting in the city.

Recently, Alia Bhatt’s mother Soni Razdan came out in support of Rhea Chakraborty. Earlier today, jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali tweeted against media for spoiling Rhea’s reputation. To which author Shunali Khullar Shroff replied, “She went to jail and has possibly lost any chance at a career in Bollywood.”

Soni Razdan, however, said that she does not see a reason why Rhea will not have a bright future in the film industry. Her tweet read, “She going to to jail has clearly exposed only the people who sent her there and shown that she was an innocent victim of a very twisted design. Why won’t anyone work with her ? I think she will do very well. I hope so anyway.”

Meanwhile, earlier this month, Earlier this month, the Bombay High Court reserved its order on the application filed by Sushant's sisters, seeking to quash the FIR filed against them by Rhea Chakraborty at Bandra Police station. The Bombay HC reserved the matter for judgement and asked all parties to submit the written documents within a week.

On the professional front, Rhea will be next seen in 'Chehre'. Rumi Jaffrey, who has directed the film, said in an interview that the actress will return to work in early 2021.
