Rakhi Sawant Reacts To Hema Malini’s Jibe: 'If A Tea seller Can Become PM, Why Can’t I Be A CM'
Actor-turned-BJP MP Hema Malini recently took a jibe at Rakhi Sawant when she was asked about speculation that actor Kangana Ranaut might contest elections from Mathura.
New Delhi: Actor-turned-BJP MP Hema Malini recently took a jibe at Rakhi Sawant when she was asked about speculation that actor Kangana Ranaut might contest elections from Mathura. Hema replied by saying, “Good, it is good…You want only film stars in Mathura. Tomorrow, even Rakhi Sawant will become.”
Now Rakhi Sawant has responded to this jibe in her unique way. A video of hers is going viral on Instagram in which she is saying that the news of her joining politics was to be made public by either Prime Minister Narendra Modi or home minister Amit Shah, but she was happy that Hema Malini, her ‘dream girl', has shared it. She also said that once she joins politics, she will become the next Smriti Irani, Union Minister, and former actor.
She said, “I am very happy today. It was actually a secret that I will be contesting in the elections. The news was to be announced by PM Modi and home minister Amit Shah. But it is my good fortune that my dream girl Hema Malini announced the news of me contesting the upcoming elections). “Actually, PM Modi and Amit Shah were supposed to speak about me but… Let it be… PM Modi or Hema Malini, it’s the same thing. I’m now going to become Smiti Irani part 2. I’m so happy that I will contest the elections. Please support me. And Hema Malini ji, thank you for giving such a nice statement about me.”
In another ANI video, Rakhi Sawant said that she will indeed contest elections in 2024.
“I would like to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for putting the great responsibility on my shoulders and consisting me worthy of it. As far as I am concerned I have been serving society from childhood. When Modiji can become PM by making tea, why can’t I be a CM after working in Bollywood. I just need your blessings. Now in 2024, you will see me contesting the elections, against whom, that would be a surprise,” she added.
Rakhi Sawant had contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Mumbai North-West as an independent candidate.
