Mumbai: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra have been making the news these days for an 11-year-old video. The video is of Raj’s ex-wife Kavita Kundra accusing Shilpa of breaking their marriage. The video resurfaced almost after 12 years of Shilpa and Raj’s marriage in the year 2009. Now, Raj Kundra has opened up for the first time about his divorce from his first wife Kavita and why he had to take this drastic change of separating from his first wife.

While in a conversation with a leading entertainment portal, Raj Kundra revealed that it is sad that an 11-year-old video is going viral again and that too, a few days after his wife Shilpa Shetty’s birthday. Raj Kundra said while interacting with PinkVilla that he has been quiet for the past 12 years but that there is a clear agenda behind it.

Raj Kundra accused his first wife Kavita and said that she has got thousands of pounds for giving an interview against him and sold her soul during the divorce. Raj further pointed out that Kavita is accusing a celebrity of breaking her relationship while she herself was the reason for the breakdown of their marriage.

Raj Kundra further revealed more reasons for his divorce from Kavita. During his interaction with the entertainment portal, Raj revealed that his ex-wife used to bring out the worst in him and she also grew very close to his now ex-brother-in-law and spend time with him while Raj would be away on his business trips. Raj also disclosed that Kavita used to fight and argue with his family.

Speaking about Shilpa Shetty’s reaction to the viral video, Raj Kundra said that though he was very angry, his wife asked him to ignore it. But he decided against his wife as he felt that the truth should now come out in front of everyone.

Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty tied the knot with each other on November 22, 2009. The couple has two lovely kids – Viaan Raj Kundra and Samisha Shetty Kundra.
