Since its premiere on July 11, viewers have been analysing every detail, from character interactions to subtle moments. While many applauded the show’s immersive atmosphere and slow-burn tension, others felt the pacing was too drawn out, a sentiment that carried over into the finale.

‘The White Lotus’, airing every Sunday on HBO, has officially been renewed for a fourth season. In January 2025, just before the premiere of Season 3, HBO confirmed the continuation of the series. A major success for the network, the show has won 15 Emmys over its first two seasons, including Outstanding Limited Series for its debut season. 

The White Lotus 4 release date

The exact release date for ‘The White Lotus’ Season 4 remains unclear. Mike White previously shared with The Hollywood Reporter that location scouting hasn't started yet. Given the release pattern of previous seasons—Season 1 in summer 2021, Season 2 in fall 2022, and Season 3 expected in early 2025—Season 4 might not premiere until late 2026.

The first three seasons of ‘The White Lotus’ were filmed at luxurious Four Seasons resorts around the globe. Season 1 was set in Hawaii, Season 2 took viewers to the picturesque island of Sicily, Italy, and the most recent season transported audiences to the vibrant landscapes of Thailand.

Aside from Europe, Australia remains a strong contender for Season 4. Speaking at Sydney’s Vivid Festival in 2023, Mike White expressed his desire to explore the continent, stating, “My dream would be to hit every continent, so yeah, this is like its own continent basically. We kind of have to come to Australia if we keep going. It would be so fun. Obviously, there’s a huge wealth of talent here and the beauty is inarguable, so it feels like it checks all the boxes.”

With HBO confirming the renewal, ‘The White Lotus’ Season 4 will air on HBO. However, for Indian viewers who streamed the show on OTT platforms, there's no official word yet on whether it will return to Jio Hotstar or JioCinemas.
