In the web series 'Taali' Sushmita Sen plays the trans woman based on real-life activist Shreegauri Sawant, modeled on real life incidents, the show chronicles the journey and life of Shreegauri Sawant and her physical and emotional transformation from Ganesh to Gauri and their fight to get recognition from the state and law of the land.
Sushmita as Shreegauri Sawant also shows the story of motherhood and the brave battle against Indian laws to get recognition.
