Ralph Fiennes Approves If Cillian Murphy Is Cast As Voldemort In Upcoming Harry Potter Series

The Harry Potter series casting is currently mid way as a hunt for the cast members continues. Recently, 'Oppenheimer' fame Cillian Murphy's name surfaced for the role of the chief antagonist of Harry Potter, Voldemort. Ralph Fiennes, who originally played the role of the Dark Lord in the Harry Potter film franchise, gave his blessing to the Oppenheimer actor, during the show Watch What Happens Live.
What Ralph said about Cillian Murphy
“Cillian is a fantastic actor. That’s a wonderful suggestion. I would be all in favor of Cillian. Yeah,” said Ralph, when asked if he approves of Cillian's potential casting as Voldemort in the upcoming Harry Potter series. A couple of years ago, when he was asked if he'd reprise his iconic role after the series was announced, Ralph told Variety, "Sure, of course. No question about it.”
Ralph played Voldemort in Mike Newell's 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' in 2005, the fourth installment of the popular franchise and then reprised the role in the four succeeding installments: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007), Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 (2010) and Part 2 (2011).

The Harry Potter series is all set to become a new addition to JK Rowling's supernatural world of witches and wizards. The film will rope in three lead actors who will all be newcomers with the addition of some newcomers in the movie franchise. Warner Bros had opened the casting process for the leads Harry, Hermoine and Ron, who were played by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint in the eight-part movie franchise.
Oscar winning actor Mark Rylance, also known for his role in 'Bridge of Spies' and 'Dunkirk' is reportedly the top choice to play the role of Dumbledore. As per reports, the Harry Potter books author JK Rowling is closely involved in the making and casting of the series which will premiere on HBO.
