Wait Is Over! Prime Video Announces New Seasons Of Mirzapur, Panchayat And Pataal Lok. Watch Video

New seasons of Prime Video’s critically acclaimed series such as 'Pataal Lok 2', 'Mirzapur' and 'Panchayat' were announced on Tuesday.

New Delhi: Prime Video, the popular streaming service, has sent waves of excitement through its fanbase with a glimpse into its upcoming slate of content for 2024. At the forefront are the eagerly awaited returns of some of its most acclaimed series, promising to captivate audiences once again with their gripping narratives and stellar performances. 

New seasons of Prime Video’s critically acclaimed series such as 'Pataal Lok 2', 'Mirzapur' and 'Panchayat' were announced on Tuesday. Apart from this 'Bandish Bandits' and Tamil series ‘Suzhal - The Vortex' will also return for the second season. 

Manoj Bajpayee, renowned for his role in 'The Family Man', took the reins as host during the Prime Video Presents event, where the lineup was unveiled to the fans.

Paatal Lok Season 2
Notable announcements included the return of 'Paatal Lok', the gritty crime drama that left audiences on the edge of their seats. Season two promises to delve deeper into the murky world of conspiracy, with Jaideep Ahlawat and Ishwak Singh reprising their roles under the direction of filmmaker Avinash Arun. Sudip Sharma, actor Abhishek Banerjee, Tamal Sen and Rahul Kanojia are the writers of the show, produced by Karnesh Sharma of Clean Slate Filmz. 

Mirzapur Season 3
Meanwhile, fans of the adrenaline-fueled saga 'Mirzapur' can look forward to its third season, which will see protagonists Guddu (Ali Fazal) and Golu (Shweta Tripathi) facing new challenges as they vie for supremacy in the crime-ridden town. "Will they pass the baptism of fire, or will external forces seek to destroy the seat of power forever?" the official logline read. 

With a stellar cast including Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal, the series is set to deliver another adrenaline-pumping ride.  

Panchayat Season 3
The heartwarming comedy-drama 'Panchayat’ returns for a third season, promising more laughs and heartache as Abhishek Kumar (played by Jitendra Kumar) navigates the complexities of rural governance. With stellar performances from Neena Gupta and Raghubir Yadav, the series is set to charm audiences once again. 

"As the Panchayat elections approach, both Pradhan (Neena Gupta) and Bhushan (Raghubir Yadav) camps engage in a fierce battle to uplift their public image. Navigating the murky waters of Phulera politics, Abhishek (Kumar) does his best to maintain his objectivity," reads the official description. 

The series is directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and written by Chandan Kumar. 

Bandish Bandits Season 2
Adding to the excitement is the return of 'Bandish Bandits', the musical drama that stole hearts with its enchanting melodies and compelling storyline. Season two promises a showdown of epic proportions as Radhe (Ritwik Bhowmik) and Tamanna (Shreya Chaudhary) compete in a nationwide band competition. 

Last but not least, 'Suzhal - The Vortex' makes a triumphant return with its second season, offering fans a thrilling ride through the twists and turns of crime and intrigue. 

The series is created and written by Pushkar & Gayatri of 'Vikram Vedha' fame and features Kathir, Aishwarya Rajesh, Lal, Saravanan, Manjima Mohan, Gouri Kishan, Monisha Blessy and Samyuktha Vishwanathan.
