As memes and reels once again highlight special moments and dialogues from the Jitendra Kumar-led series, singer Palash Shrivastava has taken a unique way to talk about the show. Creating lyrics that blend well with Panchayat's iconic theme, Palash has sung about the characters of the series set in the village of Phulera.

However, Palash’s cover for Panchayat’s iconic theme seems to have not gone down well with fans who asked the singer to not ruin the series for them.

The lyrics of Palash’ song read,

“इस गाँव का नाम है फुलेरा
है यहाँ प्रधान और प्रहलाद चा
सचिव जी है हमारे नायक
इनकी आँखों में है सपने
विकास उनके है सहायक
मंजू देवी भी प्रधान
सचिव जी ने सिखाया पूरा राष्ट्र गान
बनराकस है और विनोद भी
जिनके कारण होती नोकझोक भी
पूरब है पश्चिम है
सर चढ़ा विधायक है
रिंकिया टंकी पे चढ़ी
लौकी है नौटंकी है
गजब बेजत्ती भी.”

His lyrics loosely translate to:

“The name of this village is Phulera
Here, the headman and secretary are
Mr. Pranlal and Prahalad Cha
Our heroes, their eyes are filled with dreams
Development is their assistant
Manju Devi is also the head
The secretary taught the national anthem
There's Banrakas and Vinod too
Because of whom there are arguments too
East is there, west is there
The MLA is dancing on the head
Rinki climbed on the tank
There are antics with bottle gourd
Gajjab Bejati Bhi( humiliation too).”

Soon after the singer shared the video on his Instagram account, fans flooded the comments section with their take on the song.

A user wrote, “Don't ruin our favourite series 😢," while another said, "It sounds disastrous 😭." A netizen wrote, "Next season me dalwao bhai isko 😂🤣😂."

Another commented, "Dekh raha hai binod, kaise gana gaake impress kar diya hai 😉😄.... Haayein !!... Wonderful 😁👍🏻."
